PHOENIX thickeners
can greatly reduce slurry volume by thickening solids.
 The
PHOENIX HiFlo™ Thickener combines water clarification and
solids separation and thickening in one step, greatly reducing the volume
going to a slurry pond by thickening solids from 4-10% by weight to 40%,
or more. When the complete elimination of the slurry pond is desired,
the thickener underflow is sent to a PHOENIX belt filter press, where
the slurry may be thickened to as high as 75% solids. This results in
a dry cake that is easy to convey, store, stack, or handle.
 PHOENIX
gravity belt thickeners reduce slurry volume by thickening dilute
sludge or slurry for reduced volume storage or additional dewatering by
a belt filter press, screw press, or other device. A variety of designs
and sizes are available to suit specific needs.
